About the last post........

Just to clarify, I agree completely with these words.

It's the fact that it's an "in your face" kind of approach

to the way church is run that might make some

"comfortable Christians" a little uncomfortable.

And I like that......

Have you ever actually listened to the lyrics? I mean, actually let the meaning of the words sink in?
I wonder if people would still like this band if they paid attention........

Does Anybody Here Her
She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind chorus:
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even knows she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?

She is yearning
For shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching
For a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself (chorus)

If judgement looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we never even met her

Or maybe this song.......

If We Are The Body
It's crowded in worship today

As she slips in trying to fade into the faces
The girls teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know
Farther than they know

Chorus:
But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way

A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgmental glances
Tells him that his chances are better out on the road

Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ

Jesus is the way

Enough is Enough....

I know I already left this as a comment but just to emphasize the point:

Alright. Enough games. I don't need this right now.... So either tell me who you are, or stop commenting. That goes for anyone who is leaving me notes as anonymous, I know there is more than one......

Pretty Much Sums It Up........

If weakness is a wound that no one wants to speak of
Then "cool" is just how far we have to fall
I am not immune, I only want to be loved
But I feel safe behind the firewall

Can I lose my need impress?
If you want the truth I need to confess

I'm not alright, I'm broken inside
And all I go through, it leads me to You

Burn away the pride
Bring me to my weakness
Until everything I hide behind is gone
And when I'm open wide with nothing left to cling to
Only You are there to lead me on.

Honestly, I'm not that strong.

I'm not alright... that's why I need You.

Into the Wild.....

Ok Louissa. Just for you... : )

Call us Hicks. Call us Rednecks. Go ahead. Call us whatever you want, but we know how to have fun up here in the Northcountry. Saturday night found us ( although a much smaller "us" ) climbing back up the mountain/hill of Seven Springs for another relaxing night around the campfire. The stars were out in full force to light our way; but we still used a couple of flashlights to help them. ; )

A few memories from the night:

Are there really seven springs here?
I don't know... um... there's water though.....

Jared, the fire is getting cold...... fix it!

One of us forgot that sledding is meant for snow. Oh yah, and sleds. She was very gracefull about it though......... ; )

And what better way to end an evening like this, then to go on a safari in the back field. Even if it was in a Toyota. The grass was taller than the 4Runner; we couldn't see a thing. What a night! I was a little disappointed that the friends we made last time never showed up though. Yup. Mr and Mrs CataRpiller must have been out on vacation.
